- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2004Tall, Dark & Hungry is another satisfying, hysterical, sexy vampire tale.
Bastien Argeneau has always been the dependable one, the got to guy, the mister fix the problems. So it was no shock that his soon to be sister in law asks that her cousin and maid of honor be put up in his home. Bastien was not expecting in all his four hundred plus years to be falling in love. Terri is a breath of fresh air, which was missing in his life.
Terri Simpson arrived early to help with her cousin Kate Leever to Lucern Argeneau. She moves into Bastien's penthouse and is surprised to find herself enjoying her host company. Bastien is a caring, thoughtful, sexy man.
As Bastien and Terri are thrown into last minute wedding preparations when Kate and Luc are called out of town, they become closer and realize how much they care. But Bastien has one little vampire secret that could change it all.
Lynsay Sands has written another fantastic book in her vampire family. The family dynamics are hysterical. The passion between Terri and Kate is so steamy and so tender.
I hope we get to see more of the wonderful family.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2021This wonderful story starts with Kate and Lucerne wedding planning!
Bastian has been elected to entertain and keep Terri, Kate's cousin and best friend, at the penthouse. This is all due to an unfortunate accident with Chris being hurt and she has to go to a book convention instead of him!!
Kate also recruits both Bastian and Terri to take care of any issues that might come up. Which they do!!! It's crazy mayhem then for that week!!!
Great read!! Bastian, the problem solver for the family and immortal,s can't seem to get things quite right!!! It's great to see he is also human!!

Her partner gets hurt so he in the apartment. He keeps getting hurt and have to taking to the hospital. Baste in wants to spend time with her and realizes she his lifemate. She is afraid after losing her mother and husband she run away to be safe but realizes she can't live without him
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2021Bastion was a great brother even if he had to say so himself so when his brother's fiance asked him to let her cousin stay with him in his penthouse of course he agreed. After all, Terri would help with the wedding planning and he was hardly ever home. When one catastrophe after another strikes the wedding plans and Terri awakens Bastien's appetite in all things and he can't read her thoughts the die is cast. Funny incidents, love, a wedding, and family love: this book has a little bit of everything. A other fun read from Lynsay Sands.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2021Love the books, don’t like how there’s a big difference between the first books and the ones now pertaining to life mates and how to notice them, for example, in the first books there is not really any life mate business just I can’t read her mind and I love her and they have always ate food and there is no shared pleasure unless they are being bitten, then in the later books the sign of A life mate is can’t read the mind can taste food again and you get shared pleasure just from touching (which is why they try to avoid being touched intimately themselves until the other person knows the truth) also in the beginning books they call themselves vampires and in the later books they abhorred that name and called themselves immortals. It’s quite obvious that as the author continued to make more books for the series that she didn’t plan them out before hand and decided she liked the life mate business but instead of easing into and making it seem like they slowly figured out what life mates are she just threw in the true life mate business which in turn made it seem poorly executed but other than that I love this series and they are truly good books.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2023Becomes so much more. This is Bastien and Terri's sweet love story that has passion, a multitude of calamities and a variety of interesting support characters that are friends and family. I recommend reading this series in chronological order.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2021Tall, Dark and Hungry is the fourth book in the Argeneau Family series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. Oh my gosh this story was just epic. I just couldn’t put this story down and I was just captivated by everything that was taking place. The author truly outdid herself with this story. This story just had my emotions all over the place and I am so sad to see this book end. I just can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Argeneaus take New York
After another of his mother's matchmaking attempts, Bastien Argeneau has relocated to New York in hopes of escaping to a more peaceful life. But with his brother Lucern getting married in the city, Bastien soon finds himself roped into helping by letting bride-to-be Kate's cousin Terri stay in his Manhattan penthouse. Terri and Bastien click straight away but with a wounded groomsman, Broadway actor vampire and all manner of wedding crises to deal with it looks like love will have to wait.
This is the fourth in the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter series (after A Quick Bite, Love Bites and Single White Vampire) and focuses on Bastien who has always been presented as the level-headed business oriented Argeneau. Moving the story to New York was a great choice and allowed for some beautiful descriptions of the city.
This is the third book in the series to feature a previous couple's wedding but this time the preparation is featured when Kate and Lucern unexpectedly have to travel and leave Bastien and Terri in charge. This adds a chaotic element to the storyline which is well paced and cleverly plotted, and some of the wedding issues are incredibly funny in how they are written.
Bastien has always managed to maintain an air of professionalism in the previous books, stepping in to help out his siblings when their romantic circumstances required it. As such it's hilarious to watch him make even bigger mistakes than they did. Terri is sweet and generous but older than her years with a tragic past that leaves the reader rooting for her to move past her fears. Their romance is hampered by each of their pasts, so it is interesting to see how they each deal with it.
Chris Keyes, Kate's friend and fellow editor is back and ends up as the butt of several jokes as he lives through what could possibly be the worst week of his life. Problem after problem besets him in a variety of amusing ways. My favourite character though is Vincent who is introduced to the series in an outstanding fashion and quickly fills the supportive/flirty/funny role that Thomas occupied in the first two installments. Vincent's book is up next so it's great to get to know him as a character, especially as Bastien is the last of Marguerite's children so she'll have to move her motherly matchmaking elsewhere.
All in all this was another great read and I'm looking forward to A Bite to Remember.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolut köstlich
